Rectorat

In October 2019, the Rectorat (Board of Education) and the Inspection académique du Nord (Inspectorate) moved from the Vieux-Lille and Saint-Michel districts to 14,000 sq. m building in the new Euralille 2 district. This "academic hotel" accommodates nearly 850 employees.

Designed by Escudié Fermaut - an architectural firm based in Tourcoing -, and Scau - a Parisian firm -, the building stands out with its double skin of concrete and glass - which optimizes thermal and acoustic performance - and boasts a style at once modern and urban.
The interior is organized around a vast central patio planted with trees. Around this garden, the larch cladding of the facades creates a warm feel.
