The structure of the product and the rate of opening generated by the multitude of micro-grooves give the panel one of the highest absorption coefficients on the market - 0.95 aw.
Our commitments
Innovation
In 1968, Ober has developed the first HPL panels with a genuine wood veneer base. Ober doesn’t limit itself to this exceptional know-how, the company develops many other technical and decorative solutions integrating concrete, paper, metal, solid surface, to satisfy the requirements of architects, in France and worldwide.
Quality
The well-being of people, preserving exceptional know-how, devising ambitious objectives and a rigorous follow-up in areas of improvement are the foundation of Oberflex’s quality management system.
Reasonable management
The heart of our know-how is the transformation of wood, a living material chosen for its environmental qualities. Therefore Ober makes concrete commitments toward the environment, beyond the legal or regulatory constraints, and assists its customers in their own environmental approach.
Performance and regulations
Fire resistance
Oberflex tests all of its products for fire resistance. This involves determining the time during which a panel retains its physical and mechanical properties when exposed to fire. The codification of these tests is highly regulated in France and Europe
Acoustic
Improving the acoustic comfort of an interior space is achieved by balancing sound absorption, diffusion and reflection. Obersound panels installed on walls or ceilings are designed to reduce sound reflection and improve speech intelligibility.
Environmentally friendly products
Owing to the efficient management of its products, Oberflex provides precise answers that are useful for assessing the environmental performance of a project and comply with the requirements of construction labels. Oberflex panels meet the targets commonly chosen for certified projects.
Services
Just as no two sheets of veneer are the same, no two projects are alike. This is why, for each project, Oberflex offers the possibility of ordering samples for each of the items featured in the catalog.
Sample orders can be placed directly on the site under the headings "products" or “La Matériauthèque" or directly from your sales representative. They are delivered worldwide, subject to immediate availability, within 72 to 96 hours.
Large format prototypes
If necessary, Oberflex will provide you with large format samples for a better feel of the look and rendering of the product.
Matching
The Oberflex laboratory performs color and species matching to conform as closely as possible to the original vision of the architect or designer.
Oberflex provides support to architects, acousticians and commercial fitting companies to create optimal conditions for the success of every project by providing them with the technical resources of its Customer Service.

For each project, packaging and mode of transport are based on destination, the type of goods to be transported and the urgent nature of the order. For the same panel surface area, whether the panels are flexible, rolled up in reinforced drums, or veneered and delivered flat on pallets, the weight/volume ratios can vary considerably and impact the logistics cost.
On site delivery
Ready-to-install Oberflex products can be delivered directly to a construction site, taking into account all the conditions that are required in these cases.
Storage and follow-up
For recurring projects or those requiring follow-up over time (hotels, retail and services with multiple branches, etc.), Oberflex has a buffer storage space for storing under the best conditions a certain quantity of panels with the exact characteristics outlined in the specifications.
