Furniture applications
Oberflex surfaces are used to create furniture and furnishing elements such as:
- Display units
- Counters
- Racks
- Bookcases
- Benches
- Meeting / Conference tables
- Shelves
- Closets and built-in cupboards
- Residential furniture (headboards, etc.)
- Etc.
Depending on the work to be done, the carpenter / shop fitter manufactures these pieces of furniture or fittings using 2 methods:
Assembly of veneered panels.
Assembling panels that already clad with the Oberflex surface. This method consists in making a piece of furniture from panels that are veneered on both sides and on the visible edges. The different panels making up the piece of furniture are glued together or joined with mechanical links that are either fixed or hinged.
Veneered onto built elements
Application of the Oberflex surface on elements made from untreated backing panels. This method consists in building a piece using plywood or MDF backing panels. Once the construction and the shape are finalized, the entire assembly is covered with a decorative wood, metal or other Oberflex surface.
Oberflex surfaces come in veneer sheets or laminate panels. Oberflex also offers several options and accessories (machining, profiles, edging strips, etc.) that can be used for optimal fitting.
