Claude Debussy Conservatory
The Claude Debussy Conservatory is an establishment with a strong identity, with its volume that seems to be in motion and its copper skin, a glittering material, evoking wind instruments.
On the inside, the building is organized into levels. The reception lounge and the Mstislav Rostropovitch auditorium, which seats nearly 300, feature the Marotte acoustic panels with a blonde oak finish. The alternation of perforated and solid panels as well as the geometric recesses were specially designed to achieve optimal acoustic comfort. In this way, the sound waves are reflected by the smooth panels, partially absorbed by the perforated panels and diffused throughout the room thanks to the many volume variations.
